How much time will I need to commit?
Some opportunities require less time and commitment than others. It depends what you want to do. It could be less than two hours every month or it could be two days a week. It's up to you!

Do I need special skills or experience?
For some opportiunities, yes. For others, no particular skills or experience are required. Volunteering is an excellent way to gain experience. Training will normally be provided by the organisations who engage volunteers. If you have additional support needs let us know.

Will volunteering affect my benefits?
In most cases, the answer is no. If you have any concerns, give us a call, pop in and see us or send us an email and we will advise you.

Will I be out of pocket?
SoLVE believes that no-one should be out of pocket through volunteering. We strive to ensure organisations we work with pay out of pocket expenses to volunteers. But ultimately, it is up to individual organisations to pay expenses.
